she/they

Alicia Lochard is a Senior Program Manager for the Fiscal Sponsorship Program (FSP). In this role, she partners with public interest technology and data projects to design, fund, and implement initiatives and strategies that center values of collective power, sustainability, transparency, and care.

Alicia joined Code for Science & Society after working as a researcher and teaching fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, where open scholarship, public history, memory, and Black feminist praxis were core aspects of her teaching and research practice. To her work at CS&S, she also brings operations and leadership experience as founder or co-founder of multiple research-based initiatives focused on arts, healing, and community including the Black Cultural Studies Collective, a working group of researchers, artists, and archivists learning to apply creative and experimental methods in humanities and social science research.

Current areas of interest include collaborative governance models, shifting power in philanthropic practice, transition/succession planning, equity and wellness for tech and research workers.
