Carlos Barreneche is an associate professor in the Department of Communication at Universidad Javeriana (Colombia). His research interests encompass critical studies of data & AI, hacktivism, indigenous media & technology, and ecological perspectives of technology. He is also editor-in-chief of the academic journal Signo y Pensamiento.
